Both texture and comfort
Burns’ most popular t-shirt is a polo shirt. It is a polo shirt type. The fabric is made from vintage cotton and knitted on an old style loopwheel knitting machine, giving it a soft and comfortable feel.
This softness and texture cannot be achieved on modern knitting machines. I actually felt the difference when I touched it with my hands, it is truly “special”.

“Rice Cotton” with a vintage feel
We use USA made recycled cotton yarn. The yarn is made from recycled cotton yarns that are made in the USA. In order to keep the dry feel of rice cotton, we use an uneven yarn that has more boa than a standard slub yarn.
Loopwheel Knitsting
This material embodies the dry American atmosphere, and is knitted on one of the few old-style loopwheel knitting machines still in use at a long-established factory in Wakayama Prefecture, which can only knit 12-13 T-shirts a day. The fabric is knitted with air, which gives it a soft and fluffy feel. 
Classy parts for adults
A slightly smaller collar, three buttons and not too big pockets give a calm, mature and elegant impression.
Circular body for comfort
Circular body is a detail that symbolises the loopwheel knitting machine, which knits the fabric into a tube. There are no seam allowances at the sides of the body, which gives the garment a comfortable, stress-free fit and a clean look. This makes it difficult to adjust the silhouette, but the angle and width of the sleeves give it a contemporary appearance.
Also, the slightly smaller collar and three buttons give it an elegant look.
