High-performance nylon
AURORA-TEX is a material that gives high waterproofness while not sacrificing moisture permeability, taking into consideration the weak point of down, water wetting. It is a porous polyurethane waterproof coated material, a highly functional nylon with excellent breathability, heat retention, and water repellency. It can be used regardless of weather conditions, expanding the range of activities.
Tear-resistant ripstop fabric
Highly functional nylon is made into ripstop fabric, which has higher tear strength than regular nylon. This fabric is durable and long-lasting for active use.
Great piece for Cold Weather in Japan
The down used is white duck down from Spain. The quality and functionality of down products are greatly influenced not only by the breed of waterfowl, but also by the environment in which the waterfowl are raised and the length of time they are kept.
Spanish waterfowl are raised for a long period of time in an environment with vast land and state-of-the-art equipment. Duck feathers are supple and soft, with excellent heat retention, insulation, and elasticity. It is not overspecified and ensures comfortable heat retention for life.

Details that leave no room for cold air to enter
The neck has a stand collar.
The neck is set high to provide excellent heat retention around the neck. The front zipper is watertight to prevent cold air from entering, and the cuff adjusters and hem drawcord can be adjusted to further prevent cold air from entering.
Pockets are provided for both side hand pockets and a chest pocket. The inside of the chest pocket has hand warmers to keep cold hands warm.
Comfortable silhouette without stiffness
From this season, the silhouette has been made a little roomier, making it easier to wear thicker innerwear such as parkas and knits.
The arms have been sublimated to a more relaxed fit that does not feel constrictive by making them three-dimensional in accordance with human movement.
High-end model boasting lightness and warmth
The new “Mikami” Aurora Light Down Jacket incorporates the construction theory of the “Level 7” outerwear, which boasts the strongest cold protection performance in the ECWCS.
This high-end model is named after Mount Mikami in Yasu City, Shiga Prefecture, which is also known as Omi Fuji.
The box quilt structure used in sleeping bags has been partially adopted to further improve heat retention. Furthermore, by using fabrics with excellent waterproofing and moisture permeability, and luxuriously encasing 860FP high quality SPDX (Polish Goose Down) feathers, it is finished to provide an unparalleled feeling of being wrapped up in a sleeping bag.

Ultralightweight material with excellent moisture permeability, heat retention, and water repellency
NANGA’s original “AURORA-TEX LIGHT,” a waterproof, breathable, and lightweight fabric, is used as the main fabric. Although thin, it has a water pressure resistance of 20,394mm and a permeability of 24,116m2/24hrs, making it one of NANGA’s highest spec waterproof breathable fabrics.
The lining fabric is made of thin 10dn recycled nylon, which provides soft comfort and efficient transfer of body heat to the down, resulting in excellent heat retention.
Polish White Goose Down
White goose down boasting “860 fill power” is used for the down. With its overwhelming warmth and volume, it is no exaggeration to say that it is truly a “wearable sleeping bag” that gently envelops the body.
Supple, soft, and comfortable to the body
Goose raised in Europe are carefully nurtured in vast areas without stress, resulting in bulky and strong feathers.
The feathers are supple and soft, the down is comfortable and conforms to the body, and the down balls give it a voluminous texture. This makes it wonderful with lots of small air-filled spaces, rich in warmth, insulation, and elasticity.
Convenient and abundant storage
Matte-textured watertight zips are used for zips in various locations. The front has a double zip for convenient silhouette changes and ventilation.
Each pocket is made large, so it is easy to get your stuff in and out. The bottom of the chest pocket has a unique structure that separates it from the main body, and is made with comfort in mind so that the inside of the chest pocket does not interfere directly with the body.
The interior of the side pocket is designed with hand warmers to keep warm. The inside has a mesh pocket and a zipper pocket for ample storage.
Functionality unique to an outdoor brand
The draft tube in the hood and the center back adjuster effectively hold the head in place and keep heat out.
The drawcord hem, Velcro cuffs, and jersey inner cuffs eliminate gaps for cold air to enter and keep the wearer warm.
The distinctive side zip at the neck opens to a mesh fabric ventilation feature, allowing for temperature control while enjoying the design changes.
Evolved heat retention
Warmth is improved by making two layers of down in the front. Furthermore, the box quilt structure used in Nanga sleeping bags is adopted for the wrists, where cold air tends to penetrate, and the back, where the cold is more easily felt, to prevent heat leakage from the stitching, thereby achieving the maintenance of high heat retention.
