Hand-dyed using indigo dyeing techniques, the Yonetomi classic knit collar T-shirt is transformed. Featuring a delicate gradient from light blue to off-white achieved through a traditional tie dyeing technique called Murakumo-dye (cloud pattern dyeing).

Watanabe’s Indigo Dyeing Studio
Located in Tokushima Prefecture, Watanabe’s cultivates the raw materials for indigo dyeing, known as “sukumo,” in-house and performs traditional, naturally derived indigo dyeing entirely by hand.

A Striking, Refreshing Color
Utilizing the Murakumo dyeing technique, a type of traditional tie dyeing, a delicate gradient from light blue to off-white is achieved. This gradation is achieved using the rare color known as “shiraai” (white indigo), which possesses transparency unique among indigo hues. Enjoy this precious hue that can only be produced at the end of the dyeing process.

Furthermore, it’s easy to care for as it’s suitable for home washing (without bleach and with separate washing).

The Perfect Thickness
Made with 100% cotton fabric known for its softness. By firmly knitting cotton yarn with a dense finish, it achieves the ideal thickness that is not too sheer and fulfills the functionality expected of both tops and innerwear.

Meticulous Neckline
For the neckline, which determines the impression of the T-shirt, a rib part knitted firmly using a flat knitting machine is used.

By shaping parts individually with a flat knitting machine, a beautiful curved silhouette along the neckline is achieved. Furthermore, to address the weakness of T-shirts that tend to lose shape after washing, the tightly knitted rib is layered to ensure the shape remains intact even after wearing and washing.
