Supima Cotton, the highest quality cotton produced in the United States
“Supima” is an abbreviation for “Superior Pima”, which is grown in Arizona and other states in the southwestern United States. The longer the fiber length of cotton, the higher the quality, and Supima cotton is the highest quality Pima cotton.
Only a few percent of the cotton produced in the United States is allowed to bear the “Supima” name.
This cotton is 40% stronger than regular cotton and absorbs color more easily, resulting in a more colorful fabric.
Soft yet resilient high-density cloth
The “typewriter” fabric is made of fine count yarn of high quality and woven at high density. The texture is soft, yet the fabric has firmness and bounce. It is a thin and crisp fabric, so it can be worn in early spring and early fall, as well as in the hot and humid summer months.
Beautiful silhouette unique to Re
The back silhouette and waist line are beautifully expressed like darts using sewing techniques unique to domestic cut-and-sew factories. The tight body width and slightly shortened length give a smart impression that fits the Japanese body shape.
Usually the hem of a shirt is rounded to the side, but Re’s shirt has a unique design with a gently rounded front.
Delicate details
The front placket is elegantly designed with pin tucks, which is also a dress shirt detail. The small collar has a hidden button-down design that keeps the collar in place.
The buttons are high-grade shell buttons, but only the second button uses a beautifully kneaded natural nut button to accentuate the design. This is a detail that shows Re’s uncompromising attention to detail.
