The pique, which dominated the fashion scene on the East Coast of the United States in the 1960s, is still a popular item among clothing lovers for whom denim alone is not enough. A denim brand with a textile manufacturer in Kojima, Okayama Prefecture, which boasts global recognition as a famous denim production area. The brand was launched in 2011 to spread the quality of MADE IN JAPAN DENIM overseas. The brand proposes jeans with a new sense of value, combining a silhouette recognized in Europe and the U.S. with the quality of domestic production.

Pique fabric with a unique look
The fabric is made following the Levi’s model that was popular in the early 60s. The fabric is also known today as “Levi’s Pique”, which shows how iconic Levi’s using piqué fabric was at the time.

Pique is a special fabric with a plain weave on the surface and a twill weave on the reverse side. The warp yarns in the twill weave are woven so tightly that the surface rises, creating ridges that give the fabric its unique look. In addition, piqué is extremely tough with little stretch when worn, and its moderate thickness allows it to be enjoyed regardless of the season.

Smart blending detail
The front has a zipper for easy on/off. The zip and donut buttons are the brand’s original design. The classic five-pocket design with a fabric feel is beautifully expressed in the vintage-inspired details such as the punched-out rivets.
