BASISBROEK
Founded in 2004 as a pants brand, BASISBROEK’s name means “basic pants” in Dutch. Using carefully selected fabrics domestically, they offer a wide range of products from pants to shirts and coats. Material and Wash for a Cool, Combined Effect
Made from a lightweight fabric of 90% cotton and 10% linen, the material has been gently washed in small batches to create many creases, giving it texture. This reduces the surface area touching the skin, providing a cool and comfortable feel.
You may notice small cotton leaf and stem remnants, which are the natural color of the cotton. Additionally, the fabric has a slub texture due to intentionally uneven creases. Enjoy the natural finish of the material.
The two color stripe patterns feature varying thicknesses, with a subdued color scheme that makes a strong yet sophisticated presence.
Hidden Details
Zippers on both sides of the slits allow for deeper slits, giving you the option to showcase a T-shirt underneath or create more ventilation.
Additionally, the zippers help with ventilation by releasing trapped heat inside the garment.
Zipping the slits deeper keeps the hem from interfering with your hands when reaching into the pockets, maintaining a polished look without the creases showing on the front.
The collar is a large, regular design. Its size balances well with the wide silhouette, completing the overall look.
The shoulders drop slightly and the armholes are set wider, making it easier to wear over a wide-fit T-shirt without restricting movement.
The stiff cuffs add a sense of presence, while the chest pocket is set lower, offering a relaxed impression.
