A denim brand with a textile manufacturer based in the Kojima district of Okayama, Japan, a region renowned worldwide for its denim production. Carefully Woven on Traditional Looms
This denim fabric is crafted using a 12oz denim fabric woven on a select few remaining old-style shuttle looms. The fabric is woven with the warp threads tensioned as close as possible to hand weaving and the weft threads slowly and carefully woven in by skilled craftsmen.
This process brings out the natural characteristics of the original cotton, resulting in a fabric with a distinct twill texture, a rugged appearance, and a natural feel when worn. The mid-weight fabric is perfect for enjoying authentic denim all year round.
Classical Yet Original Design
The front features a zipper for easy wear, and the jeans are equipped with JAPAN BLUE’s original zipper and donut buttons in a classic five-pocket style.
The cowhide leather patch, engraved with the brand logo, is a detail not to be overlooked. The patch will age beautifully over time, making these jeans a piece you’ll want to cherish for years. Additionally, although not visible from the outside, the striped pocket linings are a subtle yet distinctive feature.
Another detail to notice is the “red ears” seen when the cuffs are rolled up—a hallmark of fabric woven on vintage looms.
