JAPAN BLUE JEANS
A denim brand with a textile manufacturer in the Kojima area of Okayama Prefecture, boasting worldwide recognition as a denim production area. Launched in 2011 with the aim of spreading the quality of MADE IN JAPAN DENIM overseas. It proposes jeans with a new value by combining silhouettes recognized in Europe and America with domestic quality.
The Ultimate Denim Fabric
The fabric is made of 3oz Supima cotton denim woven with very fine 60s yarn for the warp. It’s remarkably thin and smooth for denim, offering a light and comfortable feel.
The “count” refers to “how long the length is for a certain weight,” and the larger the number, the finer the yarn. Compared to the 6.5s warp yarn often used in 13oz denim fabrics, the 60s warp yarn is only about 1/9 as thick.
Because fine yarns are prone to breakage during dyeing, fine counts are rarely used. However, leveraging the brand’s expertise as a fabric manufacturer, they have achieved the ultimate denim fabric by using 60s yarn for rope dyeing.
Simple Design
The neckline features a standard regular collar.
A basic patch pocket is located on the left chest. Paying attention to details, such as adjusting the pocket size to match the shirt size, is also a point of emphasis.
Both sides feature rolled flat felled seams, and the hem is finished with a gusset and triple needle stitching, preventing fraying during washing and wearing.
A relaxed silhouette with a moderate looseness. With an ideal size that’s not too casual, it’s a versatile piece that can be worn tucked in or out.
