The 12.5oz denim fabric used is made from rare Zimbabwe cotton.
The biggest appeal of Zimbabwe cotton is its exceptional balance of softness and durability. The long, fine fibers create a smooth and comfortable texture while maintaining resilience that prevents distortion, making it stand apart from other cottons. This balance ensures a long-lasting piece you can enjoy for years.
Additionally, this cotton is handpicked without the use of pesticides, grown at an altitude of 1,500 meters in southeastern Africa, offering the highest quality organic cotton.
The indigo blue, achieved through rope dyeing, is rich and deep. As rope dyeing colors only the surface of the threads, the fabric develops a unique fade over time, giving it a distinct character as you wear and wash it.
With repeated wear and washing, the denim gains personalized fading and wear patterns, adding depth and personality to the fabric.
Vintage-inspired details
The design faithfully reproduces details from 1940s vintage items, commonly referred to as the “war model.”
During World War II, materials were scarce, leading to simple, functional designs, which are reflected in this piece.
